The Christmas Bride by Sylvia McDaniel

Blurb:
In the historical western town of Fort Worth, Texas, matchmaking mother, Eugenia Burnett, has achieved her goals. Her three sons are happily married, and she has three grandchildren, with the fourth on the way. But she hasn’t given up her matchmaking ways. Now she’s introducing lonely widows and widowers. Until one widower, rancher Wyatt Jones, lets her know he’s only interested in one woman, her. Sworn never to remarry, Eugenia doesn’t want a husband. But Wyatt wants Eugenia and he’s one determined cowboy. Come celebrate a western Christmas with the Burnett family and watch Mama Burnett meet her match.

Review:
Eugenia is a strong confident woman who knows what she wants, and what she doesn't want. The matriarch of the Burnett sons, Eugenia has made it her business to find partners for her three sons. Now that the tables have turned and her daughters-in-law are matchmaking Eugenia with Wyatt, Eugenia wants nothing to do with love. Especially when it includes Wyatt. Eugenia's character was so comical. Getting every single available woman to ply Wyatt with more casseroles than he knows what to do with, is enough to drive him crazy. There is only one way to take care of Eugenia and that is to take matters into his own hands. When it comes to Wyatt and Eugenia, I find myself grinning at the repartee. What a sweet and touching love story.

The Christmas Bride is a delightful and dazzling read written by a very talented author. I have never read any of Ms. McDaniel's books. However, after reading the story description, I found myself anxious to snuggle up to my first Sylvia McDaniel romance. The romance between Eugenia and Wyatt, did not disappoint and even had some unexpected turns that turned out to be quite steamy. After reading their touching love story, I can't wait to read the rest of the books in the series. If you are looking for an intriguing story line laced with humor and enchanting characters, look no further than The Christmas Bride by Sylvia McDaniel.
